Literally. I've been going to the gym as much as possible because I'll definitely miss it.

Yes, it really is this perky and colorful! This is one room out of like 25... it's massive |
But it's been a super busy time around here, getting ready for Barcelona and Paris, finishing up work, and Christmas shopping. Edinburgh is SO ready for Christmas! All the stores have their Christmas finest displayed, like this GALLON sized Tabasco at Harvey Nichols! Tyler, even you couldn't finish this...
 |
This is about $130 worth of Tabasco... Geezus. |
There are trees and lights everywhere, the stores are staying open late, and Santa suits are apparently a huge deal, so every other shop is stocking them... Weird. But the best part is the Christmas markets! There is a huge carnival with tons of rides, an ice rink, and food vendors, an arts market, and a huge German market with homemade crafts, food, mulled wine, and of course beer.

I bought advent calendars for all of my flatmates |
Although it is December, winter doesn't officially between for almost 3 more weeks. But Edinburgh didn't get the memo- it snowed last night!!! I've been in snow before, but this is the first time I've been a resident in a snowy place. It was beautiful- I just stared out my window for a good ten minutes. The pictures don't capture it well, but I tried.

The white pavement in the back is all snow-coated
|
Okay, so it wasn't a blizzard or anything. But it was enough that it made running this morning an adventure. The top of the mountain was white and the paths were coated. There was enough snow that I could make a snowball, but not enough that I could have gone sledding.
One more fun fact before I get back to work: over the semester, Alex and I have been picking up money that we find on the ground. It really really added up- to about
£15.46. That's almost $25 of found money! Not too shabby for doing nothing but bending over and pocketing change for 4 months.
